| Things to do The Eden Project The Eden Project was established as one of the landmark Millennium projects in the UK to mark the year 2000. Although relatively new, the project has quickly become one of the most popular visitor attractions in the United Kingdom. The complex includes two giant, transparent domes, each emulating a natural biome, that house plant species from around the world. Tintagel Castle With its spectacular location on one of England's most dramatic coastlines, Tintagel is an awe-inspiring and romantic spot, a place of legends. The Lost Gardens of Heligan Rediscover the Lost Gardens of Heligan. Asleep for more than 70 years, marvel now at the largest garden restoration project in Europe. Padstow In Cornwall, Padstow is an example of what we do best - it's a working port that wears a holiday hat. Nestling on the beautiful Camel Estuary Padstow offers unrivalled holiday opportunities. The Town with its colourful harbour surrounded by pastel-washed medieval houses is an attraction in itself. For the more active and adventurous Padstow offers a range of activities including walking and cycling, the world famous Camel Trail, South West Coastal Footpath, water sports including fishing, surfing and sailing. Jamaica Inn Enjoy a warm Smugglers welcome at Jamaica Inn. For over 400 years the Inn has played host to travellers of all descriptions. Follow their footsteps and enjoy a hearty meal in front of the roaring log fire. Bodmin and Wenford Railway Enjoy a relaxing journey by Steam Train combined with countryside walks, a pub lunch or a visit to historic Lanhydrock House for a memorable day out. Lanhydrock House The grandest and most welcoming house in Cornwall, This National Trust house is superbly set in 450 acres of woods and parkland. Surfing and Beaches Due to the unique shape of Cornwall's beaches and the fact that the county is exposed to the sea on both sides makes Cornwall Britain's premier location for surfing. Polzeath is just 20 minutes drive away where surf boards and wetsuits can be hired on the beach and also surf lessons. Further south along the coast is Constantine beach, favourite for sunbathers and surfers alike. Additionally we are just 25 minuites from the south coast and it's various beaches. Cycling The Camel Trail winds through some of Cornwall's most beautiful and little-known countryside. The track runs beside the River Camel, linking the towns of Bodmin, Wadebridge and Padstow. An extension follows the river towards Camelford. Being an old railway track, the Trail is virtually level all the way. Although not a tarmac surface. it is mainly smooth, ideal for wheelchair users, pram and buggy pushers and people who have difficulty in walking on uneven surfaces. The Trail provides safe and easy access to unspoilt countryside. If you don't have your own bicycle they can be hired from Bridge Bike Hire. Walking Cornwall offers everything for the keen walker, or even those who just fancy a gentle stroll. With the longest coastline in Britain encompassing ancient paths and ways which date back to time immemorial, even the famous Saints' Way is a relative newcomer and add to that rights of way established by the miners, fishermen and farm workers over the centuries and you can start to imagine the scope available to you. It's not just the quantity (over 3000 miles of inland paths, 300 miles of coastline) but the quality, staggering beauty which keeps changing with the weather and the season.
